Alpine events run by British organisations are generally run under the FIS ICR (International
Competition Regulations), amended and augmented by the appropriate British, and where applicable Member Group
rules.
On this page you will find two sets of British regulations, for 'natural' (outdoor) snow and for artificial surfaces,
plus the FIS ICR and a selection of other FIS documents, some MG publications,
and other useful guides.

BCR - Snow Competition Rules
The British Competition Regulations (BCR) is the rulebook used (in conjunction
with the FIS ICR) for British non-FIS races on snow
slopes. It covers aspects specific to British events that are not already covered in,
or are different from, the ICR, and should be used in conjunction with ICR.

Some of the key FIS documents are available here, but you may also wish to
check the
FIS web site for the latest information (or click on the 'to FIS site' links below).

BACR - Artificial Competition Rules
The British Artificial Competition Rules (BACR) is the rulebook used (in conjunction
with the FIS ICR) for British races on artificial slopes.
It covers aspects specific to British events that are not already covered in,
or are different from, the ICR, and should be used in conjunction with ICR.
For a couple of the books (V and VII) there is no separate artificial
rulebook, so you should use the corresponding BCR book.
Member Groups
The Snowsport England Race Manual covers event
regulations, officials development and various other aspects of races and race
organisation that are not covered by BACR or are specific to SSE.
